IOP Tumble Tots Melawati & Hadhonah Adni

assalamualaikum

like last 4 weeks i got a phone call from Adni. I was happy and anxious at the same time. at that time, Iman was still in IOP tumble tots. So anyway, since he's been in the waiting list for some times already and did decline once the offer (because at that time i've just paid for IOP-ins. of play), so i think he'll just go for it this time.

so i never really had an entry about IOP pon, but i'm just gonna compare these two schools in this entry. so Iman started his first day in adni on 10 june. he was happy when we left not kowing he's being left there. the second day, he cried :( poor my baby!! for the very first week, he only went for two days; the next 3 days he was not very well, huhuhu. the week after my family went to Perth. this week he only went today, friday. today he cried.

well actually the drama is not really my main concern. he's like that in IOP the firsts weeks too. what i worried most is that he's not drinking/ eating at all. and i leave him there from 8am to 3pm. that is long hour. he's like that in IOP too, but he's only there from 9.30-12.30am. at least he dranks his ribena there from day 1.

in adni they will bath the kids. and the sleeping hours is from 12pm to 3pm. when i picked him up today he's awake. it kinda broke my heart to see my starving child couldnt sleep because he's hungry. i wonder why he does not even take his ribena. when he saw me later at 3 pm, he drank his ribena that puzzled the teachers , aikkk..

i hope this eating problem ends the soonest.and please like the school, iman!

kesian sangatlah anak mama nanti kurus!

a little on IOP, just few weeks before his second term ended, i told the school teacher about Iman's speech delay thru the communication book, just so they know. then i saw iman being placed in Junior classes on facebook. He's supposed in Nursery 1 (N1). junior is a step behind N1. i was quite pissed off because i don't know, i thought, was my child really is not 'there' yet? initially the reason i was told was that, junior class has too little students so they place Iman there, but why Iman, why not other kids? i was sad sad. junior and N1 are the same except junior they dont have workbook kot. but Iman has a workbook.

little that i know they placed Iman there to attend him more. he's just placed in the junior area.  he's improving a lot alhamdulillah. even he does not make sentences, his vocab increases. and of course there's other initiatives made to help iman. alhamdulillah.

IOP is great place for your child, but is a bit pricey.

Adni is still new to Iman and me. cannot comment too much now.

hope school/task-searching parents out there benefit a little on both of these schools.

Assalamualaikum SIS,

Great To see your comment in IOP as i search for my actually and find out about your blog.

My Baby next month will be 2 years and i was suggested by Specialist to sent my son because of his lack of communication.

He can speak a few words but has been told by the specialist, need to arrange my son for change the environment to have more friends to play and communicate.

So, can u suggest me whether, IOP at taman melawati its good for my baby or not-Development of brain and communication.

Thank U sis

waalaikumsalam sis

imho kalau anak ada speech delay it's better if u place him some place yang tak ramai sangat mcm IOP but u need to tell the condition of your child, so that they can pay more attention to him.

but it's nice too to have ur son nasyid at home back from adni. baca alfatihah also hehe. adni provides him food, if he's not a picky eater ok je kat situ. the thing about adni is that there's a lot of children to look after that u wonder if ur child get the attentions he needs, but that kinda make him less "fragile".

both schools have their own uniqueness. my son still has not adapt to adni, sedih jugak. but if he eats cause i leave him 8.30 to 3pm there, i think i would just ignore "tanak g school" attitude, sigh

hope this helps!

salam,
your article is really helpful as im planning to send my 3yo son to islamic nursery in melawati targetting adni/hadhonah. my son has serious speech delay at 3yo, he only speak words but no sentences. May i know how old is your son? my son used to have th esame problem 1.5yr ago, i sent him to a normal nursery but he wasnt drinking or eating from 8am-6pm everyday, untill every 2 weeks he will be admitted into hospital because he starts coughing due to dehydration, he was admitted 4 times to the hospital in 2 months hes in nursery, until finally i quit my job to be a stay at home mom. now since he is isolated at home with me, he has serious speech delay.

so i want to start working again, but im very worried. he really should start socialising to start talking, but im afraid he will not eat / drink again and fall sick. hows your son doing in adni now? is he getting better? is it recommendable for my son?

Salam, my son is almost 3.5 yo. He's started making sentences alhamdulillah. Started this since he went to see the occupational and speech therapists. there, not only the child is trained, but also the parents as in how to speak wit your little ones.
adni is a very famous school and even if i need to defer him for sometimes i might go again for adni when he's ready. So your son is picky eater too ya? Maybe you should try some place that dont take too many children. Or you cud try to ask for trial classes at adni, tho im not sure if they have that.if he's not eating u probably should try some place else. Because child being admitted is the last thing we want. Hope this helps
